Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Sneaker Scout, operated by Sneaker Scout (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including our website and native mobile application (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Sneaker Scout may earn a commission when you purchase through some retailer links. This does not increase the price you pay.

1. Description of the Service

Sneaker Scout helps users discover sneaker deals, upcoming releases, and related product information from third-party retailers. The Service may personalize results based on preferences you provide and may send alerts or notifications you configure.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you can form a binding agreement where required by law.

3. Accounts and security

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at adrian@mapbookrecords.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. User preferences and data

You may provide shopping preferences such as sizes, brands, budgets, and discount thresholds. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

5. Deals, pricing, and retailer information

Deal listings, prices, discounts, availability, release dates, and retailer details come from third-party sources and may change without notice. Sneaker Scout does not guarantee that any deal, price, size, colorway, or product will remain available. Retailer inventory, pricing, shipping options, and promotions are controlled by the retailer, not by us.

6. Purchases and fulfillment

Sneaker Scout is not the seller of retailer products. When you choose to buy, you are redirected to a third-party retailer and your purchase relationship is directly with that retailer. Retailers handle payment processing, order fulfillment, shipping, returns, refunds, and customer service for their orders.

7. Affiliate relationships

Some outbound retailer links may participate in affiliate programs. When you purchase through a qualifying link, Sneaker Scout may earn a commission. This commission does not increase the price you pay to the retailer. Not every retailer link necessarily generates a commission, and program participation may change over time.

8. Accuracy limitations

We work to present useful and timely information, but the Service may contain errors, omissions, or outdated data. Upcoming-release information, where shown, is informational and may change. You should confirm final price, availability, and product details on the retailer's site before purchasing.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, branding, and original content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

10. Third-party trademarks

Retailer names, sneaker brand names, logos, and product images belong to their respective owners. Their appearance in the Service does not imply endorsement, partnership, or authorization unless explicitly stated. Sneaker Scout is an independent discovery tool and is not an authorized retailer of third-party brands or stores.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or use automated means to access the Service except through documented APIs we expressly make available
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law

12. Service availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

13. Account termination

You may delete your account as described on our Account Deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service, users, or third parties.

14. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT DEAL INFORMATION, PRICES, AVAILABILITY, OR RETAILER DETAILS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.

16. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY THIRD-PARTY RETAILER TRANSACTION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE U.S. DOLLAR.
